Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka intresset och den eventuella hjälp som kommunala räddningstjänsten har haft av en elektronisk idébank i arbetet med rekrytering av deltidsbrandmän. Idébanken består av ”goda exempel” och är skapad och sammanställd av Räddningsverket. De ”goda exemplen” består av positiva arbetserfarenheter som räddningstjänstkommunerna har gjort i samband med rekrytering av deltidsbrandmän. För att besvara mitt syfte valde jag att göra en kvantitativ undersökning med hjälp av telefonintervjuer. Populationen bestod av alla räddningstjänstkommuner i Sverige som hade deltidsbrandmän. De var 204 till antalet. Målgruppen jag vände mig till i undersökningen var räddningschefer eller ställföreträdande räddningschefer. Ett obundet slumpmässigt urval gjordes och det resulterade i att 110 av 204 räddningstjänstkommuner fick vara med i undersökningen. Utifrån resultatet av undersökningen drar jag följande slutsatser; Att räddningstjänsten i kommunerna har uppmärksammat och visat ett intresse för de ”goda exemplen” i den elektroniska idébank som finns på Räddningsverkets hemsida. Användningen eller nyttan av de ”goda exemplen” har inte resulterat i att den kommunala räddningstjänsten i någon större utsträckning fått några nya idéer i arbetet kring rekryteringen av deltidsbrandmän. Däremot finns det ett uttalat behov hos dem att få ”goda exempel” från andra arbetsområden. Det område som de flesta respondenter ville ha ”goda exempel” ifrån var utbildning, kompetens och övningsverksamhet.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the interest and the possible help that the Municipal Fire & rescue service has had of an electronic idea bank in the work with recruitment of part-time firemen. The idea bank comprises “best practice” and it is created and put together of the Swedish Rescue Services Agency. The “best practice” comprises positive work experiences that the Fire & rescue service in municipals has had in connection with the recruitment of part-time firemen. To answer my research question, I have chosen to do a quantitative study with help of telephone interviews. The population comprised all Fire & rescue service municipals in Sweden that had part-time firemen. They were 204 in number. The target group I turned myself to in the survey was Chief Fire Officer or Deputy Chief Fire Officer. An unrestricted random selection was done and resulted in 110 out of 204 Fire & rescue service municipals. On the basis of the result of the survey, I have been able to draw the following conclusion: The Fire & rescue service in municipals has noticed and shown interest for the “best practices” in the electronic idea bank that exists on Swedish Rescue Services Agency’s homepage. The use of the “best practices” has not resulted in the Municipal Fire & rescue service getting new any ideas in the work around the recruitment of part-time firemen, at least not to a larger extent. However, on the other hand, they express a pronounced need to get “best practice” from other work areas. That area that most respondents wanted to have “best practise” from was education, competence and exercise activity.
