Dii minores - en digital serietidning
2004 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor)Student thesis
Abstract [en]

This essay document a theoretical and empirical study in how comic books can be transfered into the computer medium. In the essay we make comparison between ordinary comic books and today’s digital comics, as well as an analysis of how well the digital comics use the medium. The method we’ve used is a simple literature study to give us support for the practical essay on which the emphasis lies. The work process also include a qualitative user interview as well as simple user tests. All this is to find out what more the medium can offer the digital comic. Some of what we’ve found is that the format of the digital comic should be adapted to the more monitor friendly 4:3 format and that interactivity gives a new dimension to story and narrative.
