The main purpose of this essay is to examine how Citypendeln Sverige Ltd use planned communication. At the same time the aim has also been to come up with ideas about how the planned communication could be better. Citypendeln runs the commuter train traffic in Stockholm on contract for Storstockholms lokaltrafik Ltd (SL). Because of this there are some restrictions for the external communication of Citypendeln. That is why this paper focus on internal planned communication. The essay is an emprical qualitative study, built on quite untstructed open-ended interviews with twelwe respondents from Citypendeln. They were chosen from a strategic principle of selection and consists of persons in a leading position in the organization. This is beacuse the research is not about any common adjustments for the communication on Citypendeln. The main result of the reaserch is that Citypendeln does not work with planned communication today. This is something that all respondents distinctly pay attention to. They also agree regarding to the fact that there is a value of communication. This agreement is essential for the process needed to create an unanimous strong and strategic line for the internal communication.
