Abstract [en]

The aim of the essay is to find outlines in how content of web sites ought to be structured in a perspective of usability, to be used as a guidance in web site production. Through a study before production acquires knowledge about web development, the users important part in the process and text design. The method of this essay has been that through literature studies find theories about how usable web sites are created. The process of web development, content structure, text design, the users and usability has been the framework of this essay. The purpose of this essay has been to find relevant literature to analyse according to the framework. To be able to find guidance and advice about how to create a usable web site, in the very best way. The result of the study shows that the goal and the purpose of the web site, the users and the web development are the fundamental elements which play a crucial part in how the content structure and the text ought to be shaped. The goal and the purpose are crucial when it comes to if a web site ought to be created or not and decides also what to produce. The users with their needs, ideas and thoughts contribute to the shape and the web development contributes to the implementation. These factors together with the knowledge of how to structure content and how text on the web ought to be shaped have shown that they are crucial to how usable the web site will be.
