Abstract [en]

Farjestads BK is one the largest sportsclubs in Sweden, this essay describes how they organize their internal and external communikation and also their marketing strategi. Areas we have looked closer to is the clubs media and marketing relations. We have also studied how the club have managed to create a strong corporate identity and how they maintain it. We have also overlooked several PR and communication theories to see if there is any equals with how Farjestad work. To find out how the club works with theese issues we have been interviewing two of the staffmembers with knowledge of the area, and also an employee of the clubs souvenirshop and a member of the main sponsor Lofbergs Lila. We have also been studying several books in the topic of communication, Public Relations and marketing to be able to present a theoretical frame in the essay. Our study of the club shows of excellent working methods of organizing their internal and external communication and also marketing. There is a sold out crowd in nearly every home game wich shows that the club reaches out with their messages. Farjestad considers the club emblem as the soul of the club and their main priority is to maintain image of it by external communicative tools. In that way the club gets more financial partners that consider it a profit to be seen togheter with Farjestad in several conditions.
