Att spela dator - den nya barnhulturen - små barn och datorer är en kombination som kräver eftertanke, kunskap och god planering

Abstract [en]

Nowadays, small children are introduced to computers at an early age. Who is thinking about the consequences? Our purpose was to find out how computers influence children and the goal was to improve the working environment. Our method is built on qualitative techniques and is based on literature, observations and interviews with a focus on selected issues. Differences were discovered in terms of teamwork and gender between younger and older children when using computers. Adults are less aware of ergonomics than expected. They have not considered the fact using computers could injure a child. Positive/negative sides were compared in the study. Children learn to work together, help each other and listen but there is a risk of getting injured.
