Abstract [en]

This C level essay is a practical guide to make a well designed and userfriendly multimedia product. The intent is to find out what guidelines there are to design a useful program. We have then planned and designed the program Closet Organizer according to the detailed guidelines. Our goal was also to develop a product which appeals to women. We chose the user centered perspective since we consider usability to be an important part of the program creation. The essay describes the following phases: Planning - Goal, target audience, competition and market analysis, strategy, content, tools of development and planning development time. Design - Structure, text, colour, visual layout, navigation, graphics and quality. Production - Function, planning, realisation, testing and evaluation.
