En utvärdering av Vägverket Konsults intranät
2000 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor)Student thesis
Abstract [en]

The purpose of this essay is to evaluate and examine the Intranet at Vägverket Konsult, who are in the process of reforming their organisational PR. As a result of this reform, we were asked to evaluate the Intranet. Through the evaluation we want to find out whether the employees, at Vägverket Konsult, are using the Intranet, what functions they use and how much they use it. The intention is to find an answer to these questions and thereafter present our opinions and suggestions on changes that might need to be done. The evaluation is based on a study of literature, regarding the subject, and a quantitative inquiry. The inquiry was sent to all 462 employees at Vägverket Konsult and we got 313 replies. Through the inquiry we found that a large majority thinks that Vägverket Konsult needs an Intranet but only 20% use the existing Intranet on a daily basis. The functions that are used the most on the Intranet are news and information. All kinds of information and up to date news are also the sort of functions that we could se a great demand for. There also seems to be a demand for an easy way to find different types of competence within the company. Other demands are that something is done about the layout and structure of the Intranet and that it is updated more often. Through the evaluation we found that the Intranet at Vägverket Konsult clearly need to be reformed. Some of our suggestions to Vägverket Konsult are that they appoint and market the purpose of the Intranet, keep in mind that not everyone has access, make the navigation easier and that they update the sight on a regular basis.
