Abstract [en]

This essay is written in the purpose of trying to define the major changes within Public Relations work followed by the rapid development of new medias such as Internet, Intranets etc. It also deals with positive and negative effects and consequenses from different points of views. The form is a descriptive litterature study, and most sources are written texts of scientific art. Some Internet sources have been used.The main questions of the essay are as follows; 1. What major changes has the Internet and other new medias meant to the PR work? 2. What new threats and opportunities can be seen? The results are that the new medias has had a major impact on the PR work. New methods of doing PR work have been found. Keywords in this context are speed, actuality and globality. New threats and possibilities can be seen on the horizon.
