Internkommunikation är en förutsättning för ett framgångsrikt projekt och därför finns ett stort intresse i att undersöka ämnet. Variationen av olika personers behov samt den mängd kommunikationskanaler som idag finns att tillgå leder oss till valet av ämne och problemområde. Med denna uppsats vill vi undersöka hur internkommunikationen i projekt på TietoEnator i Karlstad går till. TietoEnator i Karlstad är ett projektintensivt företag som i dagsläget har mellan 25-30 projekt igång. Vi vill speciellt undersöka behovet av information, vilka kommunikationskanaler som används och projektmedlemmars uppfattningar kring detta. Vi vill även undersöka om det finns skillnader i projektledarnas och de övriga projektmedlemmarnas uppfattningar. Vårt tillvägagångssätt för att besvara detta är en kvalitativ metod. Intervjuer har genomförts i tre olika projekt och en projektledare och en projektmedlem har intervjuats i varje projekt. Utifrån resultaten från dessa intervjuer samt litteraturstudier har vi kommit fram till bland andra nedanstående slutsatser. Det finns stora skillnader när det gäller projektledares och övriga projektmedlemmars uppfattningar kring vissa delar i internkommunikationen, som till exempel när det gäller ansvar för kommunikationen. Det finns även många likheter, främst när det gäller användandet av kommunikationskanaler och inställningar till dessa. Vi har funnit att den populäraste kanalen utan tvekan är personliga möten. Vi har även observerat att internkommunikationen inom projekten kan effektiviseras. Bland annat bör planer och rutiner förankras hos alla projektmedlemmar i högre grad än vad som sker idag.

Internal communication is a requirement for a successful project and therefor there is a great interest in exploring the subject. People’s varying needs and the number of ways available to communicate in these days lead to the choice of subject and problem area. With this paper we want to examine how internal communication works in projects at TietoEnator, Karlstad. The reason we choose TietoEnator was because the quantity of project being carried out by the company. The number of projects running today are between 25-30. We wanted specifically to investigate the needs of information, communication channels used as well as the project members’ view of the methods. We will also examine if there are any differences between project managers’ and project members’ views on these topics. Our approach to answer these questions was to use a qualitative method. Interviews were conducted in three different projects. One project manager and one other project member were interviewed in each project. The following conclusions have been drawn from the basis of the results of interviews and literature. There are big differences in opinion on certain parts of the internal communication. One example is responsibility where the views vary a lot between project managers and other project members. There are also many similarities, mainly regarding the use of methods to communicate and attitudes towards them. We found that the most popular method to communicate is face to face meetings. We have also found that internal communication within the projects can be made more efficient. For example, plans and routines should to a greater extent be founded in the organization.
