Abstract [en]

The main purpose of this study is to contribute to a knowledge of how children use their language in different situations, if one can detect differences in language development of individual children in interaction with preschool teachers and other children.

A qualitative study has been conducted where the empirical material has been collected through structured observations and semi-structured interviews. Seven children participated in the observation, of which six are reported in the study. Three preschool teachers participated in the interviews.

The result of the study shows that you can find out the differences in how an individual child uses his / her language in different situations, and that you can perceive differences in the language development of individual children in interaction situations with preschool educators compared to other children.
