Denna rapport redogör för ett examensarbete utfört på uppdrag av Karlstads universitet. Arbetet omfattar 15 p och är ett samarbete mellan författarna, Skanark AB, Ekon AB, Gigant arbetsplats AB och GBP ergonomics. Examensarbetet har utförts som en avslutning på innovation och designingenjörsutbildningen. Huset och projekteringen kring detta går under namnet P06. Till följd av det nya tekniska hus som projekteras vid Karlstads universitet och visionen om dess verkstads- och experimentmiljöer som flexibla framkommer nya behov på arbetsytor och förvaringsystem. Vår uppgift blev att kartlägga de krav och behov som visionen om huset, men också den verksamhet som där kommer att ske, ställer på arbetsytor och förvaringssystem. Vi skulle sedan, utifrån dessa krav och behov ta fram produkter för arbetsytor och förvaringssystem som möjliggör att visionen om huset uppfylls. För att få en bild av visionerna och tankarna kring huset och för att definiera behov och krav genomfördes en förstudie innehållande intervjuer, enkätundersökning och verksamhetsinventering. Genom förstudien framkom kravspecifikationer, dels på arbetsbänken i verkstaden att vara stabil, slagtålig och erbjuda inspänningsmöjlighet och dels på arbetsbänken i experimentytan att vara staplingsbar, flyttbar samt höj-och sänkbar. Arbetet fortskred sedan med idé- och konceptarbete där idéer och lösningar utvärderades dels inom gruppen, men till största del med Gigant arbetsplats AB, det företag vi tagit kontakt med under arbetet för att öka möjligheten till att realisera våra koncept. Resultatet av projektet är ett konceptförslag till en arbetsbänk till husets norra experimentyta samt förslag på en konceptbänk och lokallayouter till husets södra verkstadsyta. Arbetsbänken för experimentytan uppfyller de krav ställda på den som mobil, staplingsbar samt höj- och sänkbar. Vi är överlag nöjda med lösningarna även om det finns vissa estetiska och tekniska förbättringar att göra. Förslagen på lokallayouterna till verkstaden är endast förslag, det finns dock tankar bakom layouterna men de skall primärt inspirera och väcka idéer hos projekteringsgruppen för P06. Konceptbänken till verkstaden presenteras som ett förslag på en modernare variant av hyvelbänken.

This report describes a degree project done by mission of Karlstad University. The work comprises 15 points and has been performed in collaboration with Skanark AB, Ekon AB, Gigant arbetsplats AB and GBP ergonomics. The project has been performed as a completion of the innovation and design education. Due to the planning of a new technical building at Karlstad University and the vision of it’s workshop and experimental areas as flexible, new needs appear on the place of work and storage systems. Our mission became to map the demands and needs that the vision of the house and also the activities planed to take place there, sets on the place of work and storage systems. By knowing these needs we were to produce products fulfilling these needs and demands. To get a picture of the visions and thoughts about the house and to identify these needs a feasibility study containing interviews, inquiry and activity plans where performed. Through this feasibility study we contained good material to continue our work with and the needs where identified. The work continued with the idea- and concept face where ideas and solutions was evaluated partly within the group but mostly through discussions with Gigant arbetsplats AB, the company we established contact with during the project to increase the possibilities of a concept realization. The result of the work done is a concept of a workbench for the experimental area and suggestions for local layouts and a workbench for the workshop. The workbench for the experimental area fulfills the needs set on it as to be piled, mobile and adjusted in height. We are overall satisfied with the solutions on this bench but there are still some minor aesthetic and technical improvements to be done on it. The local layouts are suggestions and are to be considered as such, they are meant to inspire and hopefully bring new ideas to the people of project group P06. The workbench for the workshop is presented as a layout of a more modern carpenter's bench.
