Modulbaserat layoutsystem
2004 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree)Student thesis
Abstract [sv]

The content of this report is the result of a diploma project preformed at Karlstads University in association with Cabby Caravan AB. The goal in this project was to develop a module based layout system to use in a construction program named Solid Works. This system is supposed to help constructors find new layouts and then be able to do simple simulations. The project involved pre-studies, establishing requirement specifications, Gannt- and WBS schedules, brainstorming, final testing of the developed system and more. The project has resulted in a new tool to make development work and planning more easy when launching a new model or layout. The system generates assemblies who are easy to modify with exact measurements. The system is user-friendly and enables the user to reduce time when creating assemblies. A range of modules based on standard components has also been created during the project. Two layouts for “model 71” have been created with the system to test it’s capability. The models are based on the writers own thoughts regarding disposal of space, functions and potential costumers of the “prototype caravan”.
