Abstract [en]

Future goal about reduce pollution to air and water are both a national and a international information. One international group is HELCOM (Helsingforscommissionen) who have a goal to counteract pollution in North- and Estersea. One national goal is the environmental quality goal poison free as struggle after to reduce risky substance as heavy metal in our environmental. To north- and Estersea comes water from Vänern. Round Vänern are that many industries suggest paper mill. The paper mill use Vänern as a recipiendary for waste water and with that comes dangerous substance as heavy metal to the sea. Heavy metals comes from leaf- and coniferous tree as are used to make paper products. That are not much heavy metals in one tree, but the large amount timber as are used in paper process make that content increased. Heavy metals have always existed and they have functions in all living organism, in plants, animals och human. Metals sets free natural from bedrock and layer of earth. Therefor are occurrence of heavy metals in water and sediment nothing unnatural. That is the humans use of earth’s metal recourse who have increased spread what lead to local and global negative environmental effects on the ecosystem
