1999 (English)Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year))Student thesis
Abstract [en]

This essay deals with different theories of literary meaning, the use of different literary "tools" and how these generate different answers and different point of views. I have mainly looked at the usage of codes, coding, (binary) oppositions and the three orders of signification and applied it to Robertson Davies' novel, What's Bread in the Bone.
