Abstract [sv]

En automatiserad analysmetod för samtidig bestämning av Co(II), Fe(III), Ni(II), Sc(III), V(IV) och Zn(II) med liganderna eriokromsvart T (EBT) och dimetylglyoxim (DMG) har utvecklats. Metalljoner i koncentrationsintervallet 0-40 ppb har bestämts med en hängande kvicksilverdroppeelektrod (HMDE) och adsorptiv strippingpotentiometri (AdSP) i vattenprover innehållande 10 µM EBT, 100 µM DMG och 100 mM NH3-buffert pH 9.5. Med multivariat kalibrering och PLS-modellering (Partial Least Squares) har interferenser i form av överlappande toppar till viss del eliminerats. PLS-modellerna har utvärderats med avseende på antal principalkomponenter och RMSEP-värde (Root Mean Square Error of Prediction). Erhållna resultat visar att det är möjligt att göra samtidiga bestämningar av upp till sex element. Variationskoefficienterna (cv) för de predikterade metalljonkoncentrationerna var mellan 1.5 och 9.5 vilket motsvarar standardavvikelser mellan 0.3 och 2.1 ppb.

Abstract [en]

An analytical method for the simultaneous determination of Co(II), Fe(III), Ni(II), Sc(III),V(IV) and Zn(II) with eriochrome black T (EBT) and dimethylglyoxime (DMG) is described. Metal ions in concentration range from 0 to 40 ppb in water containing 10 µM EBT, 100 µM DMG and 100 mM NH3 buffer pH 9.5 are determined with a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) and adsorptive potentiometric stripping analysis (AdSP). Interferences in the form of overlapping peaks have to some extent been eliminated by means of multivariate calibration methods and PLS modelling (Partial Least Squares). The PLS models have been evaluated with respect to the number of principal components and RMSEP values ((Root Mean Square Error of Prediction). The results of the investigation show that simultaneous determination of at least six elements is possible. The coefficient of variance (cv) for the predicted metal ion concentrations were between 1.5 and 9.5 which is equivalent to standard deviations of 0.3 to 2.1 ppb.
