Filmvåld - en studie i pressens agerande
1999 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor)Student thesis
Abstract [en]

The most common question existing in the scientific debate concerning media- and filmviolence is how filmviolence effect peoples behaviour. The purpose of this study however is to explore the interaction between the printed media and films with a violent content. The study will concentrate on variable forms of filmviolence and will hopefully clarify the most common opinions in the printed media regarding different forms of filmviolence. The different forms of filmviolence are represented by directors whose films have been criticised for their violent content. The directors I have choose are Oliver Stone, John Woo, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino.
