This work has been carried out on commission by Årjängs Community where a new town center will be planned. The existing center is about forty years old, and the buildings are in bad condition and need to be rebuilt and repaired. The center is not adjusted to meet the amount of customers that the community wants to have, to make it a living centre. Today there are problems with delivery and infrastructure. If nothing is done the customers will disappear and go to external shopping centres in the community. There is also a lack of apartments in the middle of the city. In this report we have taken these problems into consideration and suggest a solution to these problems. The design work has been done with sketches, CAD drawings and inspiration from studies of Norwegian shopping centres. This has lead to a final suggestion where the goals are achieved. Included is a preliminary calculation of the building costs. The total surface for the project is about 27 000m2 and the total cost for the centre is about 275 million Swedish crowns.
