Microfilm is an informationmedium which in the last years has been met with a great interest owing to its ability of high paching density. It is important to be aware ofttwo things about microfilm:



- microfilm can many times be seen as a complement to other storage media rather than a substitute

- microfilm is not suitable for all applications under all conditions



Two different microfilm techniques:

1) traditional microfilming and

2) computer output microfilm

The last method means the converting of the digitally stored computer-information and human-readable text on microfilm.
