Abstract [sv]

Tetra Pak Packaging Material Sunne AB är i behov av en räknare som kontrollerar exakt antal levererade produkter. Kravet på exakthet har med tiden ökat och gjort att kontrollräknaren i produktionen fått en viktigare roll. Syftet med arbetet har varit att hitta en fungerande kontrollräknare för de produkter som ska levereras. De olika alternativen för mätning som vi har tittat på är: * våg * kolv * lasergivare * lasergivare med optisk fiber * "analog" lasergivare * visionsystem med linjekamera. Bland de resultat vi kommit fram till kan nämnas att visionsystemet intar en särställning när det gäller mätnoggrannhet. En vinst med denna metod är att man kan ta bort den manuella kontrollräkningen. Den innehåller även andra fördelar som att man bl.a. kan få statistik för antalet levererade produkter per order. Sammanfattningsvis kan man säga att det inte finns så många fungerade lösningar bland de alternativ vi har tittat på. För att de ”billigare” alternativen ska kunna fungera som kontrollräknare krävs en ombyggnad av maskinen. Den totala kostnaden ökar då för kontrollräkningen utan att uppnå den prestanda ett visionsystem kan erbjuda.

Abstract [en]

Tetra Pak Packaging Material Sunne AB is in need of a counter that precisely checks the number of products delivered. The demand for precision has increased during the course of time and has given the counter a more important role in the production process. The objective of the work has been to find a functional counter for particular products that are to be delivered. The various alternatives for measuring that have been looked at are: * weighing-machine * piston * laser sensing element * laser sensing element fitted with optic fibres * "analogue" laser sensing element * visual system using a line camera. It may be mentioned, based on the obtained results, that the visual system holds an exceptional position with respect to measurement precision. One advantage with this method is that manual counting may be eliminated. This in itself gives rise to additional advantages, e.g. statistics may be generated regarding the number of delivered products per order. In conclusion, it may be said that there are few functional solutions amongst the alternatives that have been looked at. In order for the "less expensive" alternatives to function as counters, the machine would need to be reconstructed. The total cost of the counter would thus increase and, even then, fail to match the performance of the visual system.
