Information Systems Development: A Systematic Approach
Karlstads universitet, Fakulteten för ekonomi, kommunikation och IT, Avdelningen för informatik och projektledning.
1981 (engelsk)Bok (Fagfellevurdert)
Abstract [en]

Information Systems are built for people - to help them to do a better job ... to help them improve their activities.

The ISAC approach is a systematic aid to the development of such systems. Here you will find the culmination of nearly 10 years work in the Research Group ISAC (Information Systems work and Analysis of Changes) at the Department of Administrative Inforamtion Processing, Royal Institute of Technology and the University of Stockholm in Sweden.

In the Scandinavian countries, the ISAC apporach is in widespread use both in academic education and business application. Recent international interest in this approach has encouraged authors Lundeberg, Goldkuhl and Nilsson to translate into English this most comprehensive of all books on the subject - for students in computer science ... systems analysts ... designers ... programmers ... and EDP managers.

Pacing special emphasis on analysis and design, the book "Information Systems Development" will prepare you to develop information systems according to the ISAC approach. You will find that the authors' use of continuing real-life case studies of information systems development projects add to interest - and contribute to this singularly readable overview of systematic approach to information systems development
